Felixstowe celebrates as promotion confirmed

Felixstowe Hockey Club is celebrating today after it has been confirmed that the men’s 3rd team have been promoted following a successful season in which they finished 3rd in their league.

Next season the team will play in the NE14 East Men's League – Division 5NE

Ryan Stockton, Captain of the men’s 3rd team commented: “Obviously we are delighted that promotion to the league above has been confirmed as we played extremely well last season and deserved it. Next season will be a challenge, but we have some really talented young players coming through who continue to learn from our older more experienced members, which seems to benefit the team.”

Felixstowe Hockey Club is a friendly and welcoming club for all ages and abilities.
There are 3 men’s teams and one ladies team, and home games and training takes place on the astro turf at Orwell High School. The season runs from September to March, and training takes place every Tuesday night. The club is always looking for new members, of all skill levels and ages.

The clubhouse is located on Dellwood Avenue and is open on Saturdays from 11am – 11pm to members and guests, with specially arranged social events on selected weekends during the season.
