A high-pressing start from UEA tried to force an error from the Felixstowe defense. However, any attacking threat was comfortably soaked up, with Jimmy Walker and Sam Wash exploiting space over the top of the UEA press. The excellent Josh Warrington was unlucky not to score from the right, with a fearsome shot crashing off the UEA crossbar.

Several Felixstowe attacking chances were created as the half progressed, with UEA unable to find a way through the Felixstowe defense. Matthew Williams, Jack Entwistle and Matt Cade gave the opposition defenders no time to settle, forcing several good chances following turnovers high up the pitch.

The only goal of the game came towards the end of the first period following a well-timed intercept and mazy run from James Gorski, with Alex Woodhouse drilling home the resulting pass.

Felixstowe were unlucky not to add to the scoreline in the second period, whilst rarely pressured in defense. UEA indiscipline saw a number players carded throughout. The excellent Harry Kegan’s constant pressure on the UEA midfield caused the visitors problems throughout.

Stanley Walker secured the MOTM vote following another commanding goalkeeping performance on his 18th Birthday.
