The women's 1st team faced a difficult away game at high flying Harleston Magpies on Saturday.

The team dominated the 1st half with many shots just missing the target but they were unable to capatalise on the pressure. After half time Felixstowe came out strong with great runs in midfield and strong attacking play.

The defence held firm and it looked like a nil nil draw was on the cards. A fine break from Harleston saw them grab a goal and Felixstowe were now chasing a goal deficit.

Felixstowe moved to 3 at the back and pushed higher up the pitch and more and more chances came. However, despite the pressure, the goal scoring finesse of last week just didn't materialise and it was a frustrating loss at full time.

The spirit and fighting spirit from the team was admirable and the team will take the determination into next week's home local Derby against Ipswich.
