❤️? FELIXSTOWE LADIES 3s – MATCH REPORT ?❤️

First things first, a HUGE shout out again to all the players who stepped forward to support the team. You were amazing as always! ❤️?

Big thanks to the Vice Captain of the Men’s 3s for stepping in to run the subs and deliver the half-time team talk, multi-tasking at its finest! ?

And a warm welcome to our two new players, Isha and Ash, who both got stuck in and put in a shift, great to have you with us! ?

? Down to business!

After some good warm-up drills, we felt ready to go, unfortunately, Mother Nature had other ideas… ? We play a winter sport for a reason! Could you please turn the temperature down a few degrees? Nothing dramatic, just enough that we’re not completely soaked through by the 20-minute mark. Thanks! ?

A little miscommunication and a back line that wasn't quite ready saw Ipswich take a 2-goal lead fairly quickly, but the Felixstowe ladies soon settled into their groove and held firm for the remainder of the half.

There were some lovely passes and good advances, but Ipswich’s midfield were strong and worked hard to turn things around whenever we pushed forward, no easy ride for anyone!

The second half saw Felixstowe come out firing, with some fantastic balls sent forward and strong runs into the opposition D, one of those attacks paid off with a goal! ?

Daisy was kept busy doing her best to keep Ipswich out, while a fantastic goal-line clearance from one of our defenders ensured the score stayed close.

The final whistle came with the score 2–1 to Ipswich. Not the result we wanted, but plenty of positives, some great hockey and a team that kept pushing right to the end. ❤️?

A huge well done to Libby, who earned Player of the Match before heading back to uni. We’ll miss you, Libby, try not to forget us while you're off being all academic! ?❤️
